Results of EQUITY-LA II at the I Virtual Congress of the Spanish Society of Epidemiology (SEE) and the Portuguese Association of Epidemiology (APE)

The I Virtual Congress of the Spanish Society of Epidemiology (SEE) and the Portuguese Association of Epidemiology (APE), in which Ingrid Vargas, from the Spanish CSC team, participated, took place from 21 to 30 October, where the recent results of the Equity-LA II project were presented.

The 1st Virtual Congress of the Spanish Society of Epidemiology (SEE) and the Portuguese Association of Epidemiology (APE) was held from 21 to 30 October in virtual format and was attended by more than 700 registered professionals, who sent around 800 communications and where more than 600 people connected each day.

Ingrid Vargas, participated in the spontaneous roundtable Towards equity in health with participatory research with the paper Can care coordination be improved with participatory interventions? which analysed the impact of interventions developed through a participatory action research (PAR) process on care coordination in public health networks, and their sustainability and transferability, in five Latin American countries. The results show improvements in coordination and related factors and their applicability in other contexts.
