On June 26 and 27, the University of Chile (Santiago de Chile) will host the international seminar of the project Equity-LA II, under the slogan: The integration of care in networks of health services in Latin America. Advancing through participatory action research. 

 

The seminar will be attended by national and international experts in health systems, representatives of international organizations such as OPS and the European Commission, as well as project participants from various Latin American countries (Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay and Brazil) and Spain, who will be responsible for publicizing the results, also providing a space for debate.

 

The guest speakers will deal with different aspects of integration of care. However, the bulk of the seminar will focus on the presentation of the most important results of the Equity-LA II project. On the one hand, on the design and implementation of interventions to improve the integration of care through participatory action research processes and on the other hand, on the outcome of these interventions on coordination between levels, effectiveness, sustainability and applicability to other contexts. 

 

There will also be a round table on the lessons learned from Equity LA II and policy recommendations for the implementation of care integration strategies, in which project members will participate, as well as members of OPS and authorities with responsibility in the health field.

 

The seminar is open and will be attended by academics, health professionals, managers, civil society and other social actors who work or are interested in the topic.
