The UChile, founded in 1842, is Chile’s oldest higher education institution and a leader in the Chilean university system in terms of teaching, research, and knowledge creation and dissemination. It is the most internationally recognized institution in terms of scientific and technological research and is responsible for one third of all Chilean scientific publications in the areas of technology, humanities and social sciences.
The Salvador Allende Gossens School of Public Health at the University of Chile was founded in 1943 and constitutes the most important institution in terms of health research and training of the public health workforce in the country. Since its origin, the School of Public Health has been tied to the development of public health in Chile and in Latin America.

Principal Investigator: Pamela Eguiguren Bravo is an Assistant Professor, member of the health and Community Health Program of the School of Public Health Dr. Salvador Allende Gossens of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Chile; , Member of the Observatory on Gender Equity in Health in Chile. Her research interests include gender studies in public health and currently research in RISS with a focus on APS and the application of qualitative research methods in public health
Ana María Oyarce is an assistant professor, a medical anthropologist, who belongs to the health and community program of the School of Public Health. Extensive experience in qualitative studies on health and culture and mixed research approaches from social epidemiology on the health of indigenous peoples. His interests are in the field of intercultural health and the development of medical anthropology and application of methods of qualitative research in public health.
Oscar Arteaga is an Associate Professor and Director (until this September 4) of the School of Public Health.Has extensive experience in health policies and health services evaluation. He has served in the Chilean health system and as an advisor to the Pan American Health Organization, the Inter-American Development Bank and the World Bank. His areas of research include the analysis of RISS and public health.
Alvaro Lefio Celedon is an assistant Professor and Specialist in public health. He belongs to the health and community program of the Schoolof Public Health. He was deputy director of the Arauco Health Service. His interests and research are in the scope of health services evaluation, with mixed methodological approaches. assistente e especialista em Saúde Pública, pertence ao programa de saúde da comunidade e da Escola de Saúde Pública. Ele era vice-diretor do Serviço de Saúde Arauco. E interesses de pesquisa estão na área de avaliação de serviços de saúde, com abordagens metodológicas mistos.
Isabel Guzmán is a junior researcher of the study, psychologist, master in public health at the School of Public Health Dr. Salvador Allende Gossens of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Chile.
